Come hear the story...
According to local
historians, the people who first settled
Wilmington, North Carolina came ashore at
the highest bluff along the northeast branch
of the Cape Fear River. Naturally, they
choose the anchorage best suited for the
protection of their vessel, and the point
most advantageous for surveying the land.

More than three hundred years later, this
property is still one of the best places
from which to explore this part of the world
- by land or water.
On this historic site, edged by terraced
gardens, the ruins of the lumber and ice
companies which once occupied this land
stand side by side with a massively built
marina, an industrial-deco boat building
facility and an attractive low country dock
house that offers showers, laundry
facilities and a dockmaster's office.

Ruggedly constructed of thick steel
pilings and extra-wide steel reinforced
southern yellow pine docks, Cape Fear Marina
is a brand new, thoroughly modern facility
that offers slips from 45' to 76' long, all
with full-length finger piers, and 5 of
facing dock up to 175 feet. All slips can
accommodate vessels of deep draft. Hook ups
for power, water, phones and sewage pump-out
are available at every slip.
Secured by an electronic gate, Cape Fear
Marina is conveniently located in the same
complex as a full-service boatyard, Bennett
Brothers Yachts, and are capable of hauling
boats up to 95' in length.
