Rig failure, whether in the middle of the ocean or just a few miles from your slip, is a catastrophic and life-threatening event. When was the last time you inspected your rig? Our experienced riggers can inspect your wire rope, turnbuckles, chain plates, and spars and replace or improve where necessary.
At the same time, we can upgrade your boat with the latest sail handling equipment. What determines how often you sail? Ease of use.
The easier it is to raise, reef, and lower sail, the more often you will do so. Roller furling headsails, in-boom mainsail furling, lines led aft to the cockpit, power winches – all of these improvements will enable you to sail more and motor less.
Ease of use isn’t just a convenience – it can be an important safety factor as well. If it is easy to reef, you will do so sooner. If the helmsman can manage the rig without assistance and from the safety of the cockpit, then crew fatigue will be reduced and overall safety increased.
